Spookfontein Cottages

Spookfontein's two self-catering cottages, Blue Crane and Sunbird, are tucked into a 313-hectare wine farm set between the Babylonstoren and Kleinrivier mountains in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley.

Each cottage sleeps four across two en-suite bedrooms, with open-plan living spaces that spill onto generous patios through French doors. The style is relaxed country comfort: stone fireplaces for cooler evenings, fully equipped kitchens, and braai facilities for long afternoons with a glass of farm wine. Water flows from a natural spring on the property.

Guests can swim in the farm dam, wander through the vineyards, or walk up to the Spookfontein Restaurant for lunch and a tasting. Hermanus is just 15 kilometres away—cliff paths, beaches, and whale watching all within easy reach.
