Our winemaker, Chris Albrecht, brings both global perspective and deep regional knowledge to his craft. From Stellenbosch to California, France and New Zealand, his journey has shaped a winemaker who is equal parts technician and artist. Chris carries forward the purity and mastery that define our Legacy wines, while guiding the thoughtful exploration that gives life to our more imaginative creations.

A new chapter begins for Bouchard Finlayson, as the winery brings its award-winning cool-climate craft to the heart of Hermanus with the launch of a curated POP UP by Bouchard Finlayson, an imaginative space where mastery meets innovation.

This comes as the Estate in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley temporarily closes to undergo a world-leading transformation. Open 7 days a week, the POP UP is designed as an intimate encounter with the Estate’s evolving story. Guests can explore a series of tastings that reveal the creative direction of the winery’s next chapter, complimented by a curated selection of artisanal platters.
