Who

Bartho and his wife, Suné moved to Walker Bay in 1993 when there were only two wineries in Walker Bay. Bartho is proud to have been involved in initiating and assisting in establishing many of the successful wineries in the area and in 2015 the Eksteen family bought their own farm in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley where Bartho planted his vineyards and is expressing his art in crafting exceptional wines. After four years of roaming locally and overseas to be equipped for the challenges in the vineyard and cellar, Pieter-Willem Eksteen joined his parents, Bartho and Suné full-time on the farm in 2022. The cool maritime influence on the vines and on their wines has rooted them in this area for life.

Famed

Fame comes with hard work and dedication. We were well rewarded on our Sauvignon Blanc, Rhône-style blends and MCC and are now looking forward to picking the same fruit from our Pinot Noir. We are constantly pushing the boundaries of winemaking to guarantee our guests uniqueness in every single drop.
